St. Petersburg Pride Festival and Parade

I debated all week if I was even going to go this year. My boyfriend went to be with his daughter, while she had her baby. June 29th I woke up early 5am. I thought I might as well go. I jumped into my truck and took off. It was an hour from my home. The parade started at 10, I was there at 9:30 am.

125,000 people attended the festival. It was sea of people. All kinds and even straight ones too. lol

 I call this picture above "the ghost". I dont think anyone noticed him at all.

Intense Moment

It started storming, I saw an open tent with a nice dry spot in it. I went and stood there. I was dry and happy again. I was under the tent with about 20 other people. All of a sudden a policeman came up behind us. He said "do you know who owns that backpack?" One man said well this girl sat down there to light a cigarette. I saw the police officer get on his radio and then he stood behind a tree. I snapped a picture of it, and moved away. I watched a girl walk over to it and pick it up. She then headed back into the crowed of people. The police officer was right behind her. I have no clue what happened after that.

 What I dont understand is, after the Boston incident, you would have thought everyone would have moved. But they all stood under the tent.

I also made this short video too. Walking back to my car, it was still storming. I walked behind 4 girls that came to the parade from Gainsville Florida. We all had the same long walk in the rain. One of the girls was a prankster like me. Every branch we came to, she would hold it up like she was being nice, but then she would shake it. Soaking us more.    All and all is was a fun time. Cant wait for next year.
