Palmetto Bug - American Cockroach

I was woke up this morning at 3am I received a Text from my new boss. Well it woke up my bladder too. So I got up to go to the bathroom, what did I see on my way to the bathroom?

Look at how large this is over, 3" long.

I went back into my room, grabbed my camera and put on my shoes, I took this picture and then tried to kill that sucker. I stepped on it and it wiggled its way out,and took off running. I stepped on it again and it did the same thing, It took me three tries to kill it. I yelled and screamed every time I tried to kill it.

I dont like creepy crawly things. Now I am wide awake.

Facts about the Palmetto Bug:

Found particularly in the Southern United States is the largest species of common Cockroach and often considered a pest. (duh)

The insect can travel quickly, often darting out of sight when someone enters a room, and can fit into small cracks and under doors despite its fairly large size. It is considered one of the fastest running insects. (I agree)

It has a pair of large Compound eye each having over 2000 individual lenses, and is a very active night insect that shuns light. (sleeping with light on from now on)

American cockroaches generally live in moist areas. (it has rained here every day this month)

Adult cockroaches can live up to one year, during which females produce an average of 150 young. (OMG)

Due to their large size and slow development, large infestations of these insects are not common within houses. (whew)

Palmetto bugs are just the p/c name for cockroaches! I hate those suckers! Funny, I was thinking of writing about them just the other day!

Yuck! Glad to hear the cockroach didn't really get to you Allen. They are a pest, but if it is the large variety, I doubt you will have too many problems with them.

On the off chance that you have no clue how to approach killing the ants, at that point simply disregard it. It is right around a beyond any doubt chance that you will wind up simply squandering your time, cash and exertion. kent pest control service
